[Results] "First Kyushu Landing ~ Symphony Pro-Wrestling," 2013.04.03 @ ACROS Fukuoka Symphony Hall

* For the first time in its short history, KJPW ventured to the Western island of Japan for a special event at the unique ACROS Fukuoka Symphony Hall. Forgoing the traditional arena atmosphere, KJPW chose to hold its initial Kyushu landing in a special, more intimate setting. Fans were immediately taken in by the feel of the show. The ring was placed on the stage, with most fans seemingly having a good view of the action. President Shigesato Ishiyama appeared briefly, along with representatives from the ACROS group (owners of the building). Both parties thanked one another, and hoped for a long-term partnership.

* The first match of the night pitted the rookie trio of Tsutomu Nishioka, Yutaka Awano, and Yukio Kisanuki against Double Goodwin, James Goodwin Jr. and "BIG" Jon Goodwin in their second 3-on-2 handicap match in recent days. Like their first, they easily dispatched of the inexperienced rookies. James particularly showed excellent polish, and had some fiery exchanges with the equally motivated Tsutomu Nishioka. In the end however, "BIG" Jon would ground the 90kg Kisanuki, before crushing him with a diving body press for the win. The two cut short promos after the match, promising to win the HEC Tag Team Title tournament!

They were again confronted by their first round opponents, Chikao Kessin and Masafuji Yoshida -- Sumo Brothers Returns. While heated words were exchanged, the Goodwins would leave ringside without incident.

* MONSTER HEAD DUO picked up a needed victory over the veteran/rookie team of Yujiro Higuchi and Shinji Uchikawa, who suffered the brunt of the punishment for his team. While looking sharp against Tetsuji, his over zealousness would come back to bite him after Tetsuji avoided his missile kick from the top rope, leading to a nasty hip attack! The rookie would eventually make the tag to the more experienced Yujiro Higuchi, who had no trouble dispatching Tetsuji with vicious chops and blunt kicks. This eventually brought the 198cm "Greco Superman" Mamoru Sekishima! The Fukuoka fans particularly enjoyed the exchanges between the two tallest Japanese wrestlers on the roster. While not the prettiest, both men held nothing back from the other. While Higuchi stayed ahead of his junior, Sekishima showed good marks and polish against Higuchi. After gaining control however, Higuchi tagged back out to Shinji Uchikawa, who nearly cradled the big Sekishima with a Small Package hold! What momentum Uchikawa had was quickly taken away after Mamoru caught Uchikawa with a vicious knee kick to the body! With Higuchi subdued by Tetsuji, Sekishima lifted the rookie Uchikawa across his shoulder horizontally, before forcing him to submit to the Canadian Backbreaker!

After the match, MONSTER HEAD DUO vowed to comeback from being knocked out of the HEC Tag Team Title Tournament, and promised to lay waste to whomever are Champions coming out of it.

* Fans were treated to a special singles bout next as SPIRIT International's Shino Hiriyama met "The Big L" Steven Lenton from EXODUS Pro-Wrestling. The singles environment gave fans a chance to see what Lenton could do before his 04/05 WWA National Heavyweight Title match against Riki Ichiro in Nagoya. The smaller, and uncouth Hiriyama used his agility to try and outrun Lenton in the early going. Once The Big L caught him, he then began using every shortcut in an attempt to extend his life. In the end however -- following a low blow unseen by Referee Kajiwara, Hiriyama tried his luck at German Suplexing the 116kg Lenton. With no success, Hiriyama elbowed Lenton, before coming off the ropes, while at the same time NOT SEEING Lenton do the same! Before Hiriyama could realize what was happening, the hulking Lenton CRASHED into Hiriyama, sending him flying across the ring with this 3:00 Shoulder Tackle! The velocity was enough to KO Hiriyama, and give Lenton the singles win going into his Title Match!

Speaking of which, his 04/05 opponent himself -- Riki Ichiro -- witnessed the match for himself at ringside. Using a microphone, Lenton addressed Ichiro, saying he had to go through a "Natural Champion" like himself before calling himself a Champion. Pointing directly at the WWA National Title over Ichiro's shoulder, Lenton vowed to bring the belt back to EXODUS. After Lenton left, Ichiro picked up the microphone and passionately said he would teach the "all-smiles American" the true strength of a Japanese Wrestler.

* The next match saw further EXODUS participation as their Champion and femme fatal Fiona Rourke formed an incredible Inter-gender Dream Team with the "Invincible Mastodon" Naoki Fukuda to face LEGION's Magnus Gunner and Abby Park of EXODUS. Tensions have been rising to a boiling point over the series, as LEGION's Magnus Gunner has showed little to no interest in cooperating with his partners -- be it Abby Park from EXODUS, or even KJPW wrestlers. As such, Magnus forced Park to start the match off against the EXODUS Champion. Park looked more confident than in recent days, and took the fight to Rourke with fiery elbows and knees. Growing ever popular with the crowd, Fiona quickly came back with a strong mix of rope work and lucha to frustrate the Korean-American. Magnus apparently was caught sleeping at this point, as Park was able to tag him in -- and thus bring in  Fukuda! Facing off against the 193cm Magnus Gunner. Never intimidated, Fukuda unleashed a rapid flurry of elbows to knock Gunner back a few steps, only for LEGION's Loaded Pistol to come back with shots equally as hard! The exchange continued, until Gunner BLASTED Naoki in the side of the head with a running knee strike! Magnus kept Fukuda grounded for the next couple of minutes, before Naoki was eventually to fight his way standing. Gunner tried to subdue Fukuda with open-handed punches -- only for the bulldozing Mastodon to throw him overhead with a shoulder throw! Naoki tagged back out to Rourke, which brought in Park. The two girls continued their encounter from earlier in the match, with Rourke eventually getting the better of Park with a flying headscissors whip, sending her to the outside! There, Rourke sailed over the ropes with a Tope Con Giro! While the girls fought outside, Naoki and Magnus continued their exchanges in the ring. Park and Rourke would finally roll back into the ring to break the referee's 20-count. With all four people in the ring, both teams showed off some good timing, as Park and Gunner sent their respective quarries -- only to be hit with stereo dropkicks! With Magnus retreating to the outside, Naoki followed through the middle ropes, hitting him with the Elbow Suicida! In the ring, Park was lucky enough to avoid Rourke's Shinigami Jumping High Kick. However, she wasn't lucky enough to avoid Fiona's Rei Gun! The spectacular Standing Shiranui into double knee backbreaker was enough to drive to the wind from Park's body, and give Rourke the three count!

* In the semi final, the KJPW Sekigun side of Sumo Brothers Returns, Riki Ichiro, and Kazuki Sendo went head-to-head with all four members of ARMADA, including its venerable leader -- Kenji Tanamura. Ichiro was particularly motivated coming off of his face-to-face confrontation with Steve Lenton earlier in the night. He particularly sought out Tanamura, who he still holds a grudge against for knocking him out of the EMPEROR'S CUP. The two had some hard-hitting exchanges, before ultimately reaching a stalemate and tagging out. Kessin and Yoshida also stood out, as they used their girth advantage at every cost against their smaller opponents. However, technically skilled fighters or ARMADA eventually found ways to combat their strength by using their speed and precision. In the end -- with help from Kazuki Sendo's "Nice Hit!" knee, Kitajima was left as easy pray for Riki Ichiro's roaring lariat to give the match to the Seikigun side.

* In the main event, TAKU and Seiji Ebisawa met in one of their last preliminary skirmishes before TAKU risks his HEC Heavyweight Title against the SPIRIT International leader on 04/06 in Korakuen Hall as TAKU, Go Taniguchi, and "Mr. 300%" himself Kazuma Fujita faced Ebisawa, along with his SPIRIT International co-horts -- Katsumi Gakusha and deathmatch veteran Sean King. The pre-match saw members of the ACROS group present all six competitors with gifts and flowers. The gong sounded rather hastily as King ambushed Go Taniguchi from behind. Things quickly broke down into an all-out fight as TAKU and Ebisawa sought each other out. After restoring order, SPIRIT International did well to isolate the lovable Go Taniguchi, along with making use of quick tags. Gakusha in particular was very antagonistic of Go, and took pleasure in cutting him down to size. However, he seemed to had pushed Go one step too far, as he unleashed a furious onslaught of northern chops and kicks! This allowed him to tag out to KAZUMA FUJITA, who earned arguably the loudest ovation of the night as he came into the ring -- chopping Gakusha AND Sean King as he tried to intervene! Just as Ebisawa was able to cut Fujita off, he was met head-on by TAKU! This allowed Fujita to nearly score the win after folding Gakusha in half with a German Suplex hold! Even the mighty Kazuma Fujita could only sustain his momentum for so long however, as Gakusha caught Fujita with a swinging neckbreaker, before tagging in "Mr. Transcendence" Seiji Ebisawa! Taking joy in beating down Fujita, Ebisawa measured every shot to deliver added damage. To add insult to injury, Ebisawa mockingly teased a "Ebisawa Lariat," only to instead jab Fujita in the side of the head! The attack on Fujita got the fans solely behind the Seikigun side, with the HEC Champion himself dying to get the tag! Amidst loud "TA-KU!" chants, Fujita was able to duck a lariat from Sean King -- ONLY TO COMEBACK WITH THE FUJITA LARIAT! Seeing his chance, Fujita made the hot tag to TAKU, who unloaded on the staggered King with chops and elbows! However, before he could capitalize, King would cut him off with a crushing body attack! Now isolating TAKU, the three SI members took intervals assaulting the HEC Champion, the Ebisawa himself making sure to get his licks in. The arrogance of "Mr DYNAMIC" Katsumi Gakusha would come back to haunt him however, as he pulled TAKU from the corner to deliver his Blessful Uppercut. The resilient champion however ducked -- before racing off the ropes and GORING GAKUSHA IN TWO WITH THE SPEAR! Ebisawa and King tried to jump in to take back control -- ONLY TO BE CUT OFF BY FUJITA AND TANIGUCHI! Naturally, TAKU followed the Spear up with the JACKHAMMER -- only for Gakusha to kick out at 2.5!! As Gakusha sat up in a daze, TAKU came off the ropes, BLASTING GAKUSHA WITH THE CHOUJIN BOMBER (Sliding Lariat)!!! With the rest of SPIRIT International held off, the HEC Champion secured the pin fall!

SPIRIT International did not stick around long after the match. TAKU said that they were all talk when they won, but had no guts when they lost. He sent a direct message to Ebisawa, declaring to retain his HEC Heavyweight Championship in Korakuen Hall on 04/06... Addressing the Fukuoka fans directly, he expressed his happiness to wrestle in the Kyushu islands once again, and said they'd return in June with an event in Hakata Star Lane!
