Biography: Maleko Momoa was born in Honolulu, to a large family of a lawyer mom, chain-store owner dad, and four older sisters - one of whom, Alanna, would end up the wife and partner of noted multi-championship pro wrestler Lance Marshall. His sister's involvement with wrestling would have a profound effect on Maleko. He excelled at sports, and Jeet Kune Do, indeed acting as protector in school to other, bullied youths. Maleko had a chance meeting with Genji Yamato, an old friend of Lance and Alanna Marshall, and was offered a spot in his dojo. Maleko has spent his time working his tail off, striving to be the best wrestler he can, and amaze the KJPW crowds with his work ethic. Openly gay, he refuses to be the flamboyant wrestler gimmick, rather using his skill to get over. He trains as much on learning Japanese language and culture, as he does puroresu.
