[News] 2/08 Differ Ariake Card, Kazuma Fujita's Final Run

- At a press conference held at Tokyo's Fighting Café Colosseo, Kazuma Fujita announced the full card for KJPW's next event this coming Friday from Differ Ariake. The main attraction bout will see the "Historic First Meeting" between the KJPW seikigun and Kenji Tanamura's ARMADA faction, as Naoki Fukuda and Go Taniguchi face Tanamura and his strongest disciple, Yuichi Miwa. While both sides have been friendly, the hunger to be the strongest will no doubt bring the competition out of them. In a continuation from the last card, the semi final bout will see the re-united "Sumo Brothers" team up once more as Chikao Kessin and Masafuji Yoshida battle SPIRIT International's Seiji Ebisawa and Katsumi Gakusha. Thus far, SI have been largely not welcomed by the majority of wrestlers within KJPW, but it might be due to their brazen arrogance after crashing the initial press conference to announce KJPW's formation, insisting on their inclusion. In fact, the faction has been seemingly stirring trouble for the locker room after befriending a frustrated TAKU following his loss to Naoki Fukuda.

Speaking of which, the contract status of TAKU is currently up in the air following the last event. Fujita admitted that KJPW was still establishing themselves as a business, and thus many of the wrestlers were working on handshake arrangements until formal contracts could be worked out. While an agreement between KJPW and TAKU was made prior to its debut event, TAKU is now considering himself a Freelancer for the time being. Fujita said that TAKU was to be better prominently featured on the show, but refused almost every match offered to him. Oddly enough, TAKU agreed to face rookies Tsutomu Nishioka and Yukio Kisanuki in a two-on-one handicap match. Fujita hoped that TAKU would "come to his senses" and return to the negotiation table soon, saying his participation is vital to the prosperity of Japanese Pro-Wrestling.

In addition, the other two members of Kenji Tanamura's ARMADA group will compete against one another, as Harumi Sakai faces Yusaku Kitajima. Both coming from extensive kakutougi backgrounds, Fujita believed the philosophy of ARMADA as a faction will be seen in the match, and expects a fierce battle, despite the two being partners. "Sometimes, competition brings out the best in friends." added Fujita, noting that same of his furious fights in the ring were against men he considered friends.

Following KJPW's initial event, a partnership between former DYNAMITE contemporaries Riki Ichiro and Yujiro Higuchi was strongly hinted at following their singles bout against one another. The speculation was confirmed to be fact as Fujita stated the two would team up with one another to face Mamoru Sekishima and the wrestler formally known as Tetsujin. In announcing the bout, Fujita also revealed that Tetsujin would begin wrestling under his real name of Tetsuji Kawamura.

Rounding out the card will be the previously announced singles bout between Kazuki Sendo and Shino Hiriyama. Sendo demanded the match after falling victim to Shino's Picture Perfect German Suplex, and has promised to show a "leveled up" performance in what he considered to be a very important singles match.

After going over the card, Fujita largely reiterated his plans for retirement, with the official countdown beginning on May 31st of this year. He said he had no regrets about his decision, but said he was more motivated than ever to leave his mark in Pro-Wrestling, and stated that he will compete as a full-time member of the roster, beginning with the company's next event on 2/23 in Osaka. Fujita said the match itself would be revealed in Tokyo on 2/08.
