[News] Fukuda vs. Kessin for HEC Heavyweight Title on 11/16!

* Wasting no time following yesterday's highly successful Korakuen convention, "BIG BOSS" Chikao Kessin has released the full lineup for his "Triumphant Homecoming" event on 11/16 in Aichi. While initially promoted as an independently produced event, KJPW appears to now be carrying the bulk of the promotion. Despite this, "BIG BOSS" Chikao Kessin will retain match making rights for three bouts on the event—and as stipulated by the "BIG BOSS" following yesterday's rally, Naoki Fukuda WILL defend his HEC Heavyweight Title against Kessin on just over 6 days notice. Kessin revealed that the Title Match was initially vetoed by KJPW management. However, following Kessin's public declaration, Fukuda "foolishly" (as Kessin put it) agreed to the match, citing the role of the Champion is to take on all comers.

The other two matches Kessin has "produced" are curious, if not interesting. First, noting the recent turmoil between Seiji Ebisawa and Daisuke Iwakuma, the "BIG BOSS" will pit Ebisawa and Katsumi Gakusha against Iwakuma and "Dream Catcher" Norihiro Akashi, putting Akashi in a very difficult position of having to show where his true allegiances lie. "It should be interesting..." Kessin added.

The other bout was actually announced last week, as the "BIG BOSS" has placed his "awful former partner" Masafuji Yoshida in a two-on-one handicap match against his Dark Triad allies, the new HEC Tag Team Champions—Double Goodwin!

The rest of the lineup sees some other intriguing match ups, as Jet Jaguar and the OKINAWA SPEED STARS face the "Jr. All Stars" trio of ATSUKA, Yoshihiro Shimoda, and HEC Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hayato Saigo. The match will be something of a post-match skirmish between Saigo and Kotaro Ota following their HEC Jr. Heavyweight Title Match tomorrow in Osaka. Regardless of the Champion, we'll likely find out who the next challenger will be by Aichi.

Another trios match will see Mamoru Sekishima and Tetsuji Kawamura of MONSTER HEAD DUO—along with up-and-coming Jr. Kazuki Sendo facing SPIRIT International's Shino Hiriyama and Sean King—along with EXODUS youth Joshua Sullivan. Sullivan has been sent to KJPW on an extended learning excursion to gain adequate ring experience. Sullivan's notoriety comes mostly from being a former reality television star in the United States, who has used that success to launch a sputtering pro-wrestling career. After signing with EXODUS Pro-Wrestling, the company asked KJPW to take him on essentially as a rookie. Whether Sullivan can take the lifestyle remains to be seen.

The Woman’s integration continues as the four native members of KJPW's newly revealed "QUEENDOM" brand will face off in a tag match as Miyabi Fujita and AISUKA face Kaoru Hamaguchi and Jaguar Dream. Fans were very positive towards the first Woman’s match last night, and should be a major success for the company moving forward.
