[Results] 2013/11/08 @ Korakuen Hall

* The drama continues to play out as KJPW returned to Korakuen Hall, drawing an even larger crowd than their 10/25 event. After the final bell had rung for the night, the Dark Triad of "BIG BOSS" Chikao Kessin, James Goodwin Jr. and "BIG" Jon Goodwin stood tall as the dominant alliance in KJPW after not only securing the #1 contendership to Naoki Fukuda's HEC Heavyweight Title, but capturing the HEC Tag Team Titles from Fukuda and WWA National Heavyweight Champion Riki Ichiro, abruptly ending FukuRiki's claim to being Double Champions.

In the semi final, Kessin defeated TAKU in a volatile match that saw constant interference from Double Goodwin. This ultimately prompted the Tag Team Champions to come to ringside before their Title Bout in order to back TAKU! Even then however, Kessin would break TAKU with the Disaster Point after waiting for the right moment. The main event participants brawled violently through out the closing moments and into the post-match! With neither team backing down, an executive decision was made to forgo the pre-title bout ceremony and jump start to the main event!

Double Goodwin seized the belts after a highly chaotic, but exciting battle. Both Goodwins demonstrated excellent polish, along with displaying immense growth in skill. The Champions fought on the defensive for the early going, only to mount a valiant effort later on. FukuRiki tried to exploit "BIG" Jon as the weak link, but to limited success. While largely fought without outside interference, Kessin did make his presence known once towards the end after attacking Naoki on the outside with a bamboo sword! After many back-and-forth near falls, The older Goodwin brother would use a Moonsault press for a near fall -- followed by another to finally put down the "Hot-Blooded Samurai!"

After Double Goodwin celebrated their newly acquired championships, Kessin told Naoki to get used to this as the norm now, because he was the "BIG BOSS," and he was running the show. Kessin continued, dropping something of a bomb shell by telling Naoki that due to having special match making privileges for his homecoming show on 11/16, he would force Naoki to defend his HEC Heavyweight Title on 8 days notice against him in his home prefecture of Aichi! Noting the odds were stacked in his favor, Naoki promised to show the power of believing in yourself by overcoming whatever Kessin throws at him.

* The "Dream Catcher" Norihiro Akashi and the "Perfect Evil" Daisuke Iwakuma scored a thrilling tag victory over ARMADA leader Kenji Tanamura and his formidable protege Yuichi Miwa after several close calls for both teams. Fans still seemed slow to figure out Iwakuma, who wrestled most of the match using a very slow, methodical style. However, he would liven the crowd with occasional bursts of ferocity, including a fiery exchange of kicks and slaps with the "Gladiator King" himself, Kenji Tanamura! Unfortunately for Iwakuma, he would find himself stunned with a spectacular Abisegiri from Tanamura, followed by a snapping Backdrop! Despite ultimately taking the match-ending fall, Miwa shined through out the match using crisp kicks and elbows. He seemed poised to catch Daisuke with his Berserker Knee -- only to be cut off with an echoing Enzuigiri from Akashi! The legal man, Akashi finished Miwa with his powerful short-arm Axe Bomber called the Dream Weaver!

Briefly speaking after the match, Akashi said that he regretted losing the HEC Heavyweight Title, but would move on as if it never happened. For now, he would happily continue teaming with his "Blood Brother," Daisuke Iwakuma... Touching on the elephant in the room, Akashi noted that already, Iwakuma was getting into mischief. Not only was he picking fights with people above his rank, he was picking fights with Akashi's friends... Given Akashi's aloof demeanor, it's almost impossible to tell if he was being facetious. Regardless, he asked Iwakuma to better behave himself...

* Prior to intermission, the Junior Heavyweights took stage in a match that gave the main event a run for its money as the night's "Best Bout The match served as the preliminary skirmish before Hayato Saigo defends the HEC Jr. Heavyweight Title against Kotaro Ota on 11.10 in Osaka. Tonight, ATSUKA, Yoshihiro Shimoda, and the Champion formed a proverbial All-Star team to defeat Kotaro Ota, Fumihiko Shirai, and Kazuki Sendo. All six men pushed an amazing pace that saw everything from elaborate triple team moves to back-to-back-to-back dives. After a thrilling sprint however, Saigo showed why he was the man to beat in the Jr. Heavyweight division -- and did so in dramatic fashion after spiking his friend and fellow OKINAWA SPEED STAR Fumihiko Shirai atop his head with a jarring Brainbuster!

Afterwards, Saigo said that while he values his friendship with Ota, he had no intentions of giving up his title. He regretted having to beat Shirai, but said it was an illustration of what that championship meant to him. This appeared to have rubbed Shirai the wrong way as he suddenly began getting in Saigo's face! Seemingly wanting to avoid further incident, Saigo left the ring with both ATSUKA and Shimoda... Ota said he understood Saigo's feelings perfectly, and promised to push the Champion to his absolute limit.

* Teaming with Masafuji Yoshida and Jet Jaguar, Mamoru Sekishima and Tetsuji Kawamura -- MONSTER HEAD DUO, gained a measure of revenge over Shino Hiriyama and Sean King after the four picked up a win over SPIRIT International! With the help of Seiji Ebisawa and Katsumi Gakusha, SI seemed to be on track to a victory. However, the over-zealousness of Shino Hiriyama would see him on the receiving end of a BRUTAL knee kick by the monstrous Mamoru Sekishima!

Unfortunately, Mamoru and Tetsuji would only have a moment to celebrate their win as Sean King bludgeoned BOTH with a steel chair; breaking it to pieces! Backstage, SPIRIT International leader Seiji Ebisawa addressed reporters questions, saying he had nothing against Norihiro Akashi, but takes exception to the friends he keeps. When asked if he plans to cooperate with Daisuke Iwakuma when they're pitted together on 11.10, Ebisawa more or less said his eye would be on Iwakuma. However, he promised he alone would be enough to win...

* The Korakuen fans witnessed something of an experiment with the inclusion of female wrestlers. While seemingly unknown by the Tokyo fans, the girls were given a very polite reaction. Hamaguchi appeared with a very boyish look, and a classic wrestling singlet, while AISUKA struck a striking remarkable resemblance to a female version of ATSUKA from his rookie days -- neon green mohawk included! The look was not by accident of course, given her close relationship with ATSUKA... The match was a unique change of pace for the fans used typically to the hard-hitting heavyweight male wrestlers. The bout was a clear styles clash pitting amateur wrestling against lucha libre. AISUKA's approaches were fluid, and quickly won her over with the fans. Not without her moments, Hamaguchi caught AISUKA in mid-air at one point with a beautiful high-bridge German Suplex hold. AISUKA would take the middle portion of the match by subduing Kaoru with elaborate llave-style submission holds. Hamaguchi however would counter one hold perfectly with the Hamaguchi Roll Olympic Slam! AISUKA tried to fight her way back to her feet, only to walk into another German Suplex hold -- this time keeping her down for three!

Both joshi introduced themselves briefly after the match. Both were announced as graduates of the Kazuma Fujita FURY dojo before making the Iwate-based ATTACK GIRLS promotion their home battlefield. They vowed to give their all in the days ahead, and said they would aim to surpass the men in the quality of their fights!
