[Results] 2013/11/10 @ BODYMAKER Colosseum #2

* Returning to possibly its hottest region, KJPW delivered an amazing main event to help solidify the fact that the Juniors are back! Amidst the drama plaguing the heavyweights, two primed competitors put aside their well-documented friendship to fight for what they believe to be the highest honor among those under the 100kg limit.

Teaming occasionally for almost a decade -- and even facing off a few times, both Hayato Saigo and Kotaro Ota knew each other extremely well. The early going saw both men counter almost everything the other threw. Saigo's athleticism and balance was breathtaking to behold. Not to be outmatched however, Ota's genius showed through as he displayed rather brilliant counters to some of the champion's larger offense. This in turn forced Saigo to be even more creative, who would perform such feats as missing -- and landing a moonsault foot stomp attempt, only to catch the evading Ota with a standing Phoenix Splash for an incredible near fall! After tucking his knees on Saigo's Firebird Splash attempt, Ota sunk in his Michelada triangle choke in a close call for the champion! Ota began favoring his thrust kick to soften Saigo up. However, as he tried following up with the Violent Spark, Saigo shoved Ota into the turnbuckle before BLASTING HIM with a dropkick to the back to the head! The shot led to Saigo scoring a vicious Brainbuster; spiking the challenger atop his head! Ota showed amazing guts and determination by kicking out of the following pin attempt! As Saigo propped Ota on the top rope, the challenger fought back with gusto, before ultimately knocking Saigo to the mat! As the champion got to his feet, Ota jumped high into the air, before FOOT STOMPING SAIGO ATOP THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! While not knocking the champion down, it sent Saigo scattering into the corner, where Ota immediately followed with the VIOLENT SPARK! The fans roared with excitement as they anticipated a title change... However, that was yet to be as Saigo kicked out at 2.8! Wasting no time, Ota sized Saigo up for Satsugai; a brutal savate kick to knelt opponent. Indeed, as Saigo got to his knee, Ota pulled the trigger, rotating his body to deliver the face-shattering blow--ONLY FOR SAIGO TO DUCK AND COUNTER WITH A SCHOOL BOY! The counter caught the fans off guard as they roared in satisfaction as Ota kicked out! Both competitors continued to scramble, with Ota reaching his feet and following through with his NASTY savate kick; catching Saigo flush! That still wouldn't be enough to keep Saigo down, who kicked out of Ota's pin at 2.9! Having no option left, Ota lifted Saigo onto the top turnbuckle, aiming to use his Nuevo Spark avalanche-style Shiranui to finish Saigo once and for all.. However, sensing Ota's intentions, the champion began fighting with elbows before escaping between Ota's legs! As the challenger turned around on the second turnbuckle, Saigo struck with a beautiful Backflip kick to top of Ota's skull, leaving him out on the turnbuckle! This allowed the champion to easily ascend to the top, where he carefully positioned himself and the groggy Ota on the top turnbuckle... Finally, Saigo hoisted Ota vertically, BEFORE SPIKING HIM INTO THE MAT WITH THE AVALANCHE BRAINBUSTER, ensuring he would leave Osaka as the HEC Jr. Heavyweight Champion!

Loud calls of both "SA-I-GO!" and "O-TA!" roared through out the hall as both men were tended to by ring seconds. Despite their favorite losing, the crowd gave Saigo a huge ovation as he was handed back his HEC Jr. Heavyweight Title... After the title ceremony concluded, Saigo was about to be given the opportunity to speak. Before that however, he would be cut off by beloved son of Osaka, ATSUKA who had what appeared to be boxed flowers for the champion.  Under the pretense of congratulations, ATSUKA handed the box to Saigo. As the champion worked to remove the unusually contrived wrapping, ATSUKA congratulation Saigo on his win, noting Ota was actually at one time his protege. However, ATSUKA said his defeat tonight was evidence of his weakness... However, perhaps due to his older age, he feels a simmering desire to protect his former kouhai. It was at this time Saigo managed to open the box, which contained a bouquet of dead roses... Confused, Saigo looked up to confront ATSUKA about his intentions -- ONLY TO RECEIVE A KICK TO THE GROIN! As Saigo dropped the flowers, ATSUKA intercepted them before decimating the wilted flowers over Saigo's head! Stunned, Saigo could not defend ATSUKA's oncoming Punk Dropkick -- sending the champion FLYING into the corner! ATSUKA cut a rousing promo on the microphone, saying Saigo would have to face him next! Shamelessly pandering, ATSUKA asked the Osaka fans if they wanted to see it. They naturally erupted in a fit of cheers and "A-TSU-KA!" chants. ATSUKA told Saigo to be prepared, because he was ready to assume his rightful throne as "KING OF JUNIORS."

* Two nights prior in Korakuen Hall, the trio known as "Dark Triad" made a huge statement by not only seizing FukuRiki's HEC Tag Team Titles, but also securing the next shot at Naoki Fukuda's HEC Heavyweight Title. Tonight, their momentum was momentarily halted as FukuRiki, along with the man Chikao Kessin beat to win the #1 contendership -- TAKU scored a measure of revenge after a hard-fought six-man tag match. The three favored babyfaces struggled to contend with Dark Triad's power and uncouth fighting style. However, after a heated closing stretch, Riki Ichiro would deliver a THUNDEROUS lariat to take James Goodwin Jr. out -- avenging his direct defeat to James in Korakuen Hall!

After the match, Kessin largely repeated his words from Korakuen Hall, claiming that the "BIG BOSS" now ran the show. He reiterated that he would challenge Naoki Fukuda for his HEC Heavyweight Title on 11/16 in Kessin's home prefecture of Aichi, and said it was a foregone conclusion that he would leave as Champion. He jokingly criticized the length of Naoki's championship belt, saying it would be difficult to strap it around his stomach. He further mocked the Champion for his muscular body and agility, saying a REAL MAN embraced life, and all of its pleasures. Coming back, Naoki said that it was his job as KJPW's "Ace" to overcome every obstacle and surpass all expectations. Suspecting a trick or two up Kessin's sleeve, Naoki said that Riki Ichiro and TAKU would both be on hand to support him. Kessin laughed, noting how they were just two, while the "Triad" would soon be expanding...

While Kessin's words were left vague, Riki Ichiro took the microphone, addressing James Goodwin Jr.! Noting James pinning him on 11/08, Ichiro said that he had eyed James as the next challenger for his WWA National Heavyweight Title, but said tonight showed that there was still a skill difference between the two. James chalked tonight up to luck, while promising to take Ichiro's title. The two agreed to meet in Hyogo on 11/30 in Kobe Sambo Hall.

* ARMADA scored a big six-man tag victory in the prior match, defeating the quarrelsome trio of Seiji Ebisawa, "Dream Catcher" Norihiro Akashi, and Daisuke Iwakuma. The bout had fast action from both sides. While Ebisawa, Akashi, and Iwakuma controlled the early going, bickering between Ebisawa and Iwakuma quickly led to ARMADA making a speed resurgence. Eventually, the bickering deteriorated into a shoving match between the two! ARMADA further capitalized with a series of attacks, taking both Ebisawa and Akashi out -- and isolating Iwakuma in the ring! After some thrilling exchanges with Yuichi Miwa, Iwakuma found himself trapped in Miwa's painful Ankle hold! Iwakuma valiantly struggled -- and even seemed to be nearing the ropes! However, Miwa pulled him away at the last second, before dropping down and grapevining Iwakuma's leg! Just as he was ready to tap, Ebisawa broke free and returned to the ring... However, he stopped just short of saving Iwakuma; instead choosing to WATCH IWAKUMA SUFFER! With his own partner making no attempt to save him, Iwakuma was forced to tap out!

A very surly Ebisawa cut a scathing promo on Iwakuma after the match, calling him a "piece of trash" and urged him to go back to America. He called Norihiro Akashi out on the spot, telling him that he had until 11/16 in Aichi to decide who his true friends were. He asked Akashi bluntly how much Iwakuma meant to him, and lorded the fact that Akashi was only allowed in KJPW because of SPIRIT International's special contract. Softening his tone a bit, Ebisawa urged Akashi to make the "right choice" when Akashi and Iwakuma face Ebisawa and Katsumi Gakusha in Aichi...

* Despite gaining another direct victory over SPIRIT International, MONSTER HEAD DUO found themselves on the receiving end of a violent post-match assault from SPIRIT Inter's resident foreign monster Sean King and Shino Hiriyama. Backstage, MHD's Mamoru Sekishima and Tetsuji Kawamura showed new aggression backstage in a fiery verbal tirade on SPIRIT Inter, challenging Hiriyama and King to a tag match on 11/30 in Hyogo!

* In the third bout, Yujiro Higuchi along with the "JrKings" team of ATSUKA and Yoshihiro Shimoda defeated Go Taniguchi Fumihiko Shirai and rookie Yutaka Awano in an enjoyable preliminary bout. The smaller wrestlers carried most of the match; dazzling the crowd with their fast speed and tremendous skill. Taniguchi and Higuchi would have their moment towards the end in a brutal exchange of chops and elbows. In the end, ATSUKA would trap Yutaka Awano in his painful Nudo Lagunero, forcing the rookie to instantly submit!

After the match, ATSUKA cut a rousing promo in front of his native Osaka fans, garnering the biggest reaction thus far of the night. Hinting at what would be to come later, he said he would be watching the main event very closely...

* The integration of woman's wrestlers continued in Osaka, as Miyabi Fujita and Jaguar Dream squared off in something of a size mismatch. Much smaller in stature, Jaguar was forced to use her speed to avoid Miyabi's brutal and relentless fighting style. After ducking two wild lariats, Jaguar saw her luck run out as Miyabi SMASHED her with a powerful lariat -- much in the image of her father's! Unlike her father however, Miyabi began displaying a ruthless approach after dragging Jaguar to the outside, and ASSAULTING HER WITH THE BELL HAMMER! Tearing into Jaguar's mask, Miyabi showed no remorse by digging the wooden handle into Jaguar's bare forehead, cutting her open! In the ring, Miyabi continued her assault in the ring with stomp after stomp in the corner. The sympathetic crowd soon rallied behind the spunky, masked female however, seeing her comeback with a beautiful flying headscissors, followed by a kneel kick! Just as Jaguar was gaining momentum however, Miyabi pulled Referee Azusa Kawachi in her way, causing Jaguar to smash into the official, momentarily taking her out! Realizing what happened, Jaguar tried desperately to revive Kawachi, allowing Fujita to crawl to her corner and retrieve her trademark blood red chain... Unfortunately for Jaguar, before she realized what Miyabi was up to, it was too late as Miyabi SMASHED her arm; wrapped in that steel chain, into Jaguar's face! The villainous act drew unanimous boos for Miyabi who took pleasure in turning Jaguar's limp body over and making the cover. After slapping the referee around for a moment, Kawachi counted the three for Miyabi!

Afterwards, Miyabi took the microphone and properly introduced herself as the daughter of Kazuma Fujita, but said the similarities stop at their shared name. She had no interest in living off his legacy, and would instead surpass him by forging her own "Bloody Destiny."

    1. The plan now is actually to use WWE 2K14, thanks to a recent Capture Card purchase. I'm particularly fond of the FPW look though.

  2. HEY! I didn't see anywhere else to post this, but it's the guy who handled Bones in the old Pro Wrestling Fury. He was brought over due to Pro Wrestling Cascadia and Justin Taylor from back, back, back in the day.

Anyway, I'm soooo glad to see that you're still going, Stevie. I've been feeling the old e-wrestling itch and I'm sure that by finding this site I should gain headway in getting back involved in some quality work...if nobody has said this yet - it's awesome that you're still kicking chief.

  3. Haha, C. Bones! I remember you! Awesome to hear from you. Yeah, I'm still kicking, sorta. Trying to stay active, but work and college make that difficult. Would be cool to see the Boney One return to Japan.
