[News] KJPW Declare "ALL BORDERS OPEN!"

An interesting press conference was held this afternoon from KJPW's Tokyo offices, headed by the last man to hold the HEC Heavyweight Title, "DAUNTLESS" Naoki Fukuda; along with President Shigesato Ishiyama.

The message was clear: KJPW is opening its borders to any and all wrestlers in Japan... Speaking on an underlying feud that has existed in Japanese pro-wrestling for the past three years. For reasons never clearly defined, Pro-Wrestling FURY -- a company that lasted from 2002 until 2012 -- ended with a philosophical divide between its roster. One half would go on to form Kingdom of Japan Pro-Wrestling, while the other half would individually go their own ways. However, both President Ishiyama and Fukuda wished to emphatically announce the end of "ideological impasse."

"We can only be at our best if we open our borders to the best." said Fukuda. "Japan is in a unique state. There are several wrestlers who have vanished from the public eye, and fans have questioned their whereabouts. Please. Come home and help rebuild Japanese Pro-Wrestling!"

Speaking on the now infamous "Norihiro Akashi incident," which saw Akashi (one of the banished wrestlers) attempt to invade a KJPW press conference, leading to Akashi finding a back door into KJPW through membership with SPIRIT International; President Ishiyama acknowledged a significant increase in excitement level following Akashi's unplanned appearance. "Personally, I still want to face these wrestlers. I believe they still have things to prove. I know their spirits still burn!

Upping the ante even more, Fukuda has laid out an open  contract, and has sent a challenge to any of Japan's top wrestlers, which will see Fukuda team with regular partner Riki Ichiro against any two willing "elites."

"Even if your reasons are selfish," Naoki said, "face me and Riki in the ring! If you want to help us rebuild, please accept this challenge! However, if you want to tear down what we are rebuilding, PLEASE, ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE!"
